Today's creation and clearer pictures

I enjoy also making earrings, necklaces and bracelets out of beads, using semi-precious stones, sterling silver findings and glass beads from all over the world.  This morning I made a pair of asymmetrical earrings for my mom who likes to mix it up a bit.  They are made out of lapiz lazuli which is usually mined in the Middle East and North Africa.  The beautiful blue stones are round and rectangle shaped respectively in this pair of earrings with turquoise European glass beads and a medium blue cats eye bead to set them off nicely. They are hung on sterling silver earwires.

I also wanted to get a clearer shot of the necklace I wear pretty constantly these days.  It says "My beloved" in Spanish on the larger sterling silver disc and containing my husband's and my initials on separate smaller sterling silver discs.  These are embellished with two Swarovski crystals, precision cut crystals which originate in Austria,  in peridot and aquamarine.  These three pieces are then strung on a sterling silver dot/dash design chain my husband gave me as an engagement gift in Costa Rica.  (That's why I love it!!)

  1. Mel, I love this necklace! How much would it cost for you to make it with Butch's and my initials? Also, could I change the colors of the crystals to something else? Keep it in Spanish though! Love ya, Alicia

  2. It would run $40 with the 3 discs, and crystals and I would also include a sterling silver chain (it would just be dots though, I haven't been able to find one like mine). If you already have a silver chain and just want the pendants, it would be $35. Seriously, let me know and I'll make it here in the next week! :) (I just might have to include an additional freebie too for being the first sale!)

  3. Let's do it Mel! Yay! So excited! I'm stuck on what crystal colors I'd like to have. Butch's birthstone is garnet for January, which I love, and mine is the diamond for April. These would be great colors together, but I'm also a huge fan of pink. Arrrgh! I don't know...what do you think?

  4. Ok, so I've decided to go with the garnet & diamond cyrstals because they'll match most of what I've got and they really are our birthstones. Do I need to go on to your Etsy site and order it? Also, our initials are: ALR & GWR. Would you be able to somehow put GWR III on there? Maybe the III could be smaller? Just wondering.
